I was just thinking that I could save one of the 30 Pro Stock or Pro Mod spots open for the competition to a Watercrosser. Would that be a great way to 'hype' the IWA in front of thousands of fans.
If not, one could run the Sport Division, where all you have to do is go straight up the hill. Problem is the Sport Division doesn't get the attention that the Pro Classes do.
Would that be something if the Watercrosser we had compete in either of the Pro Classes qualified for the King of the Hill!!!!

You guys want to help be officials? Free Gate, Free Parking, and ONE HECK OF A GREAT PLACE TO WATCH the event.
When are you coming up to go riding? Let me know so we can go for a ride together. You can ride a real machine then...The Yamaha Apex Mtn or (if I get a shock fixed) possibly the Blade.
I hope I can get some Watercrossers to take in the event, and to make sure they tell the Copper Peak Ski Flying staff that they are their because of sponsorship with Watercross. I need to show them results to keep them as an IWA Sponsor next year.

Mike...Whealkate is a great hill. I wish we could get that hill back as a hillclimb. I talked to some people in South Range to see if we could make Whealkate a qualifier for Copper Peak.
You can run in the Sport Class, where all you have to do is go straight up Copper Peak. You might make it to the top...if not, well...
Riggs, I would LOVE to see those pics. People don't realize how steep Copper Peak is until you take the Chairlift to the Top, then look down. From the 'timing shoot' you cannot even see the bottom due to the "Wall" in the middle.
If a person has not seen this hillclimb, believe me, it is worth it. I give a lot of credit to the 30 drivers that have the guts to take on this hill, especially in the Pro Stock and Pro Mod Classes.

The MASTERS Circuit has received word from the Jackson World Championship Hillclimb that not only will the Copper Peak Pro Stock and Pro Mod King of the Hill automatically qualify for the World Championship's, but also the Pro Stock and Pro Mod King of the Hill Runner-up.
This years Copper Peak Championship Snowmobile Hillclimb will be on Saturday, Feb 14th, 2009.
Once again only the 30 Top Snowmobile Hillclimbers are eligible to compete at Copper Peak. Those that competed last year get first shot at entering the competition. Then it goes to those that competed at Copper Peak in the past.
After that it goes to the most qualified.
Get your room reservations in ASAP.

FIB...since you didn't know what the Congress and House Partisan numbers are:
Congress: 233-202, Democrats in Majority
Senate: 49-49, 2 Independents (Sanders/Lieberman). Both caucus with the Dems to give the Dems a 51-49 Majority in the Senate.
FIB, can you tell me which party held the Majority in the Congress and US Senate from 1960 to 1992?
Then in 1992, which party took over control? Who do the Dem's think "saved the world" from 1992-2000?
Anytime you want to debate politics without you having to turn to moveon.org or the NDP for your talking points...let me know.

F3600...don't try to reason with FIB. His posts show his intelligence in our Political System. FIB actually thinks one person, the President, is to blame for the Wall Street Problems...and one person, the President, can bring out his magic wand and correct it.
Like you said F3600...the Dem's are keeping their mouths shut on the Wall Street bailout.
It will be the Senate and Congress that will vote on the bailout. Then it will go to the President.
Let's see what 'earmarks' and 'add-on's' is put on the bill...by the Democrats.

OUr great Governor in Michigan just announced that she is going to have a 'tax' to increase the cost of Natural Gas, and Heating Oil this winter and for the next 5 years. Her new Energy plan is to tax the Power Companies...who will then raise the Utility (that includes Electricity FIB/MC in case you didn't know) bills by 15%.
She says it is an 'incentive' to get the Power Companies to start producing more "alternative energy."
Those that ARE NOT FROM MICHIGAN, or already know the answer CANNOT ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTION. All others give it a shot.
What political party do you think the current Michigan Governor is from?

Oh that's right...you may not understand how legislation works on the Federal Level.
The legislation is introduced in the appropriate SUB-COMMITTEE in BOTH the House and the Senate. Then if it is passed it goes to the appropriate COMMITTEE in the House and the Senate. Then if it is passed through Committee it goes to the Full House and Senate for a vote. Then if it is passed it goes to the President for either his signature or veto.
Can you please send me the actual Bill Numbers for all this that he plans on doing NOW (that he is running for President) that he COULD HAVE DONE while he was in the Senate.
Oh, I forgot to tell you...the democRATS have a MAJORITY in the House and the Senate. He could have easily got these ideas at least through the Sub-Committee and Committee.
Then again, you're the expert on legislation, and I don't know what I'm talking about.

Whether it was with the USSA, IWA...Jeff was a fantastic person! When I was building the ice oval track in Ontonagon...It was Jeff that helped me out.
I'll never forget him calling me at home to tell me he was going to try Watercross, and how excited he was.
I still can't believe it.
